Omaha, Neb. -- Down 8-0 in the third inning, Creighton Baseball made a valiant effort to revive its comeback prowess from the weekend. The Bluejays, however, fell to UNLV 10-7 on Tuesday, April 25.
The loss moved Creighton to 18-15 on the season, while the Rebels climbed to 16-22.
The Rebels jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on singles from Alex Pimentel and Rylan Charles to open the game, followed by a productive out and a two-run single from Austin Kryszczuk.
UNLV starter Josh Sharman allowed four runs (three earned) over six innings to collect the win (5-1), while Creighton starter took the loss (0-7).
