OMAHA, Neb. -- Evan Johnson allowed just one hit in five shutout innings and Parker Upton scored four times while finishing a triple shy of the cycle as Creighton Baseball finished a series victory over Kansas State with an 11-1 win on Sunday, April 7.
Creighton improved to 5-2 at home and 16-7 overall, while Kansas State dropped to 13-20 on the season in Pete Hughes' first season with the Wildcats.
After Johnson retired K-State in order, Creighton wasted no time building an early lead. Singles by Isaac Collins and Upton preceded Will Robertson's two-run opposite field double.
