After Late Rally Pulls Bluejays Even, Baseball Falls at Lipscomb 7-5

Nashville, Tenn. -- After pulling even with a pair of runs in the top of the eighth, Creighton baseball suffered a 7-5 loss to Lipscomb on Sunday, Feb. 28.

The loss evens the Bluejays opening weekend with a 2-2 record, while Lipscomb more to 5-2 on the season.

Lipscomb closer Tyler Guifoil earned the win (1-0), despite allowing two runs on four hits in three innings of relief. Creighton senior Ben Dotzler was suffered the loss (0-1), allowing just one hit and one run in 1.2 innings out of the bullpen.

At the dish four different Bluejays had multi-hit games, senior Ryan Mantle (2-for-4), junior David Webel (2-for-4) as well as sophomores Andrew Meggs (2-for-5) and Jared Wegner (2-for-4).
