Brookings, S.D. -- Despite a fast start that saw the Bluejays seize an early 10-4 edge, the Creighton women's basketball team suffered a 66-47 defeat to South Dakota State on Monday, Nov. 30.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 0-3 on the season, while SDSU climbed to 2-0.
Senior Temi Carda got Creighton rolling early with seven points in the first five minutes, helping Creighton build it's 10-4 edge. The Bluejays were 4-of-7 (57.1) from the field to open the game and held a 12-10 edge heading into the second quarter.
As hold as the Bluejays were to start the game, Creighton was just 3-of-15 (20%) in the second, while the Jackrabbits found their shooting touch.
