OMAHA, Neb. -- A 15-point fourth quarter deficit proved too much to overcome as No. 22 Creighton Women's Basketball lost 65-53 on Thursday evening to Green Bay.
Both teams are now 2-1.
The visitors took control with a 17-0 run early in the contest to build a 21-5 lead and were ahead 22-9 after 10 minutes. CU drew within six thanks to a 7-0 run to start the second quarter but Green Bay outscored the Jays 14-6 the rest of the quarter to take a 36-22 lead into the intermission.
Maddy Schreiber had eight points in the third quarter and a lay-up from Natalie Andersen gave Green Bay the 52-37 lead after three quarters.
