OMAHA, Neb. -- Emma Ronsiek had 19 points and tied a school-record with seven blocked shots to lead No. 21 Creighton to a 58-46 win over South Dakota State on Thursday evening inside D.J. Sokol Arena.
The Bluejays move to 9-2 on the year, while South Dakota State dropped to 6-5 on the season.
South Dakota State dominated the opening minutes, racing to a 13-2 lead to force an early Bluejay timeout. The Jackrabbits dished eight assists on nine first half baskets and led 19-11 after 10 minutes.
Creighton took control of the game with a dominated second quarter, outscoring the defending Summit League champions 18-4.
