Fifty-degree weather. The ground wet and sloppy from the melting snow. Valentine’s Day weekend come and gone. In the Midwest these are signs of one thing … baseball season! Ed Servais’ Creighton Bluejays open things up on Friday night in California. They’ll take on 2008 national champion Fresno State in a three-game series to kick off opening weekend.
The Bluejays have the majority of their roster returning from a 32-19 season in 2015. For the second straight season they advanced to the Big East Tournament championship game, but despite playing on their home field, they once again fell short of advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
