OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team dropped from 11th to 16th in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll released on Monday.
Creighton went 1-1 last weekend to open BIG EAST play, as its five-match win streak was snapped on Saturday with a 3-2 loss at Xavier.
The Bluejays are one of 17 schools (along with Baylor, BYU, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 36 polls. Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 105 weeks the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 113 times in program history, which is tied with Santa Clara for 41st-most all-time.
