PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The No. 10 Creighton men's basketball team improved to 15-1 with a 78-64 win at Providence on Saturday. The victory was Creighton's first in four tries at the Dunkin' Donuts Center since joining the BIG EAST.
On an afternoon that saw a blizzard coat the Northeast part of the country, it was Creighton that stormed out of the gates quickly. A three-pointer from Cole Huff preceded hoops from Marcus Foster and Justin Patton as Creighton blitzed to a 7-0 lead for the second straight game. The margin reached double-figures for the first time at 12-2 before a gritty Providence team fought back.
