The weather in Lynchburg, Virginia, slowed down Saturday night’s game and North Texas’ offense, but ultimately couldn’t stop the Mean Green from getting through non-conference play unbeaten.
UNT’s 47-7 win against Liberty on the road marked the Mean Green’s first 4-0 start that didn’t include a forfeit since 1966, making UNT perfect heading into Conference USA play next week against Louisiana Tech.
The Mean Green had a quick start after the game began almost an hour late because of a weather delay. UNT reached the end zone on its first two drives but was stymied after its second touchdown.
