The 2016 season is over before it even started for Georgia State running back Taz Bateman.
Head coach Trent Miles announced that Bateman tore his ACL on the first day of fall camp, according to Doug Roberson of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He will redshirt this season and have two years of eligibility remaining. The 2015 season came to an abrupt halt for Bateman after sustaining a broken arm in the second game against New Mexico State.
He sat out for six games and returned mid-season to play in the remaining five, rushing a total of 253 yards.
