Georgia Southern defeats Coastal Carolina in triple-OT, 30-27

Whew, where to start with this one.

I guess the best place to begin are the overtime periods, considering not much happened for the first four quarters of this game, as both teams were deadlocked at 10-10 when the final whistle for the fourth frame sounded.

Coastal Carolina converted a 4th-and-goal from the 1 to start the first overtime, as quarterback Bryce Carpenter punched in a short carry to give the Chanticleers a 17-10 lead.

After three plays in which it looked like the Eagles were going to lose, a key 4th-and-5 at the end of the first overtime period saw Georgia Southern quarterback Shai Werts toss up a fade to receiver Mark Michaud, with the team needing a touchdown to tie the game at 17 and keep the hope of winning alive.
