Geoff Collins accepts Georgia Tech job, will not coach Temple’s bowl game

The Temple Owls will be in the market for a new head coach after Geoff Collins has agreed to become the new man in charge at Georgia Tech.

The Athletic was first to report the hire.

Collins complied a 15-10 record in North Philadelphia and is the first Temple coach to lead his team to a bowl game in his first two seasons at the helm.

It will be a homecoming for Collins as he has two previous stints at Georgia Tech and is a native of Georgia. He was a graduate assistant from 1999-2000 and a tight ends coach in 2001.
