After some inclement weather in Florida pushed kickoff back by about 30 minutes, the FAU Owls and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers got going in Boca Raton. The lightning in the sky provided the only fireworks of the evening, however.
The final score ended up being 10-6 in favor of the Owls with the game’s only touchdown not coming until 2:27 remaining in the fourth quarter. With about eight minutes remaining, the Owls took over down 6-3. Javion Posey, who replaced Nick Tronti at quarterback, led a drive composed entirely of runs from 75-yards out before Posey himself ran in the winning score.
