Per Pete Thamel of Yahoo, Coastal Carolina head coach Joe Moglia has decided to sit out the 2017 season. Moglia is dealing with a “bronchial asthmatic reaction to allergies” and states he will be back with the football program once this season is over. Moglia stressed that he will be fine and that this is more dealing with his health for the long-term.
Either way this is a huge blow to the Coastal program as they enter their first full season as full-time member of the Sun Belt Conference. Moglia has been in Conway for five seasons and has collected a 51-15 record that has included three double-digit win seasons and two appearances in the FCS Quarterfinals.
