The 2021 Columbus Eagles Women’s Premier Soccer League division is going to look different than it did in past years. On Feb. 26, the WPSL virtually held the league’s annual general meeting where a few major changes were made to the structure of this year’s season. With new teams announced in Pennsylvania, the Eagles will be moved from the Ohio Valley Conference of the East Region to the Midwest Conference of the Central Region.
Moving with the Eagles are the Cincinnati Sirens and the Dayton Dutch Lions. That means that in-state rivals to the north, the Cleveland Ambassadors and Michigan’s Ann Arbor FC Lumberjills and Detroit’s Motor City FC, won’t be on the schedule in 2021.
