The U.S. Men’s National Team will have a couple familiar faces next month. Columbus Crew striker Gyasi Zardes and midfielder Wil Trapp will be part of Gregg Berhalter’s squad during their September games.
Zardes rejoins the team after scoring three goals in the Gold Cup, including a brace against Trinidad and Tobago in the U.S.’s 6-0 win in Cleveland. The forward has accrued 51 appearances and has 10 goals since earning his initial call-up in 2015.
The striker had a career rebirth after his move to Columbus in January 2018. Zardes scored 19 goals last season and currently has 11 in 2019.
