Columbus Crew SC captain Wil Trapp recently acquired a Greek passport. The news was first reported by MLSSoccer.com’s Paul Tenorio on Friday afternoon and subsequently confirmed by Massive Report.
Trapp was able to acquire the passport due to his maternal grandfather being from Greece. The reason for acquiring the passport is in case Trapp would ever want to move to Europe, although according to Tenorio, he has no plans to do so any time soon.
Of course Black & Gold fans first thoughts when hearing of the Trapp news will turn to the potential move of Crew SC to Austin, Texas.
