The 32-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a productive 2017 campaign after being plagued by injury a year earlier. Pipa has found the score sheet nine times and assisted on 11 goals and his leadership in the locker room is unsurpassed.
The Designated Player’s return was in doubt following some comments made to The Columbus Dispatch.
It’s two months to the day from when Higuain said he was leaving after the season to him signing a contract extension for 2018.
