It has been a relatively quiet offseason so far for the Columbus Crew when it comes to player acquisition. That changed on Friday when the Black & Gold announced the team has signed defender Jimmy Medranda via free agency.
Medranda, 28, is a 10-year veteran of Major League Soccer, having played for Sporting Kansas City, Nashville SC and the Seattle Sounders. The left back also played in Colombia for Deportivo Pereira. Medranda joins Columbus on a one-year deal with an option for the 2024 season. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
