On Friday, Major League Soccer announced the schedule and broadcast lineup for the 2020 MLS Cup playoffs, which is set to begin on Nov. 20th, culminating with MLS Cup on Dec. 12.
Given the shakeup to the season amongst the COVID-19 pandemic, 18 clubs will qualify for the MLS Cup playoffs. Just after the November FIFA international window, a total of 17 matches will be played over a span of 22 days. This also includes an MLS record of 14 postseason matches being played over a span of 13 days.
The format will be the same as last year, as games will be single elimination and hosted by the higher-seeded club.
