Crew SC defender Chad Barson knows his time will come, but that doesn’t make the wait any easier.
Barson has not appeared in an Major League Soccer game since Aug. 8 and is among four players on the Crew’s active roster yet to play this season. Three more have played five minutes or fewer.
“Those stretches come to an end,” said Barson, four seasons into an MLS career that began when the Lewis Center native was signed to a homegrown contract in 2013. “But all of us, we want to be a starter week in and week out.
