The tradition of one player being plucked from Crew SC during each Major League Soccer expansion draft continued this afternoon when Minnesota United took midfielder Mohammed Saeid with the seventh pick in the draft, which also included Atlanta United FC.
Saeid came to MLS in 2015 after his contract expired with Orebro SK of his native Sweden. He grew up in the West Bromwich Albion academy in England and played 50 games (42 starts) during two seasons in Columbus.
He can play all over the midfield but mostly plays in the back. He also has proved himself to be a playmaker, having recorded five assists this season.
