The Denver Broncos and star quarterback Russell Wilson have reached an agreement on a five-year, $245 million contract extension that includes $165 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wilson, acquired by the Broncos in a blockbuster offseason trade with the Seattle Seahawks, now is under contract with Denver for seven years and $296 million.
The megadeal is the second-most lucrative contract in NFL history in terms of guaranteed money, behind only Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's $230 million. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray signed an extension earlier this offseason that included $160 million in guarantees.
