Projected Lineup: Crew vs. New England Revolution

Columbus Crew SC returns home to MAPFRE Stadium this Saturday as the Black & Gold faces the New England Revolution for the second time just a month into the 2019 Major League Soccer season.

The Crew is hoping to build from last week’s victory over reigning champions Atlanta United and head coach Caleb Porter should be able to repeat last Saturday’s entire starting lineup, except for right back Harrison Afful, who broke his jaw and will be sidelined for at least six weeks.

This is how I expect the Crew to field tonight:

Footnotes:

  • Fullback Hector Jimenez is expected to make his second start of the season, the first on the right side, as he’s the most likely replacement for the injured Afful after he started on the left against the Philadelphia Union, replacing Waylon Francis.
