With just three wins through 21 games in 2016, the Black & Gold are not living up to the standard set a season ago when the club came within one game of its second MLS Cup.
After another disappointing setback last Sunday, a 3-0 loss to Toronto FC, Columbus has an off weekend with no game on Saturday. Head coach Gregg Berhalter and his staff elected to train this week as normal, taking only Monday off for recovery.
