The Columbus Crew is making a major change to the team’s identity. For the second time in seven years, the club is going to rebrand, including a new logo and a change of the team’s name.
Columbus SC, as the team will be officially called, will use “The Crew” moniker that has been with the club since its inception in 1996 as a nickname that will still be used around the stadium and on merchandise.
The backlash from the fanbase came quickly after the new logo leaked on social media and Massive Report and other outlets reported on the plans of the logo.
