There will be at least three chapters to the 2016 Crew SC season.
The first chapter included Kei Kamara, the big finisher, who tied for the league lead with 22 goals last season. Eight days ago, Kamara got into an on-field spat with teammate Federico Higuain about a penalty kick. Subsequently, Kamara spoke the truth to the media, and to fans, and was run out of town like Leon Trotsky.
Kamara was suspended and the first chapter came to an end Thursday, when he was traded to the New England Revolution for two draft picks, a pile of allocation money and an international roster spot.
