Looking to end its home schedule on a high note, the Columbus Eagles welcomed the Ann Arbor Lumberjills to Otterbein Memorial Stadium on a warm and muggy Sunday afternoon. Forward Madison Costner and her teammates aimed to put on a quality performance in front of the home fans.
A brace from Costner and a goal from captain Ashley Gogolin gave the Eagles the 3-0 win over the Lumberjills.
Columbus dominated possession early in the match. The Eagles worked the ball around the pitch probing the Ann Arbor defense looking for the best area to attack.
Gogolin broke the deadlock in the 28th minute with a strike from the top of the 18-yard box.
