Columbus Crew SC got a win at home last weekend, struggling to close out Real Salt Lake. They head west to face another team that has underperformed in 2018 in the LA Galaxy. The hosts fave sunk below the playoff line and currently are in the 8th spot in the Western Conference.
Columbus opened the season strong, but has a single win in June, drifting down the standings. Crew SC now lie in fourth in a very fierce Eastern Conference with the most games played in the league. A win would push them up to second, with trailing teams having several games in hand.
