Despite a good start, Columbus Crew SC remains a work in progress

Columbus Crew SC fans might be excited by the team’s start to the 2018 Major League Soccer season, after all the Black & Gold have earned seven points in the team’s first three matches, with two of them been played on the road, to rank second in the Eastern Conference standings.

The good start becomes even more meaningful if we remember that the team lost two of its main pieces from the 2017 season, Justin Meram and Ola Kamara, who were both traded during the offseason.

It’s still early in the year, but Crew SC is already sending a message to those who doubted the team would remain competitive in 2018, especially in a crowded Eastern Conference.
