After a quiet offseason to this point of Columbus Crew player acquisitions, things got louder on Thursday. Columbus announced the signing of Yaw Yeboah from Polish club top-tier club Wisla Krakow of the Ekstraklasa. This signing was reported by Massive Report the day prior.
The Ghanaian-born winger joins the Black & Gold through the 2024 season with an option for an additional year. Yeboah takes an international spot on Columbus’ roster and won’t be officially added until he obtains his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.
In order to make the transfer compliant with Major League Soccer rules, the Crew used Targeted Allocation Money to put his salary within team limits.
