Columbus Crew SC play the team’s second match in the Carolina Challenge Cup on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET against tournament hosts Charleston Battery.
The Black & Gold came from behind to defeat Atlanta United on Saturday night in the first game of the tournament. That turnaround was sparked by a second half brace from playmaking midfielder Federico Higuain.
Charleston also found themselves down in their first game of the Cup against the Seattle Sounders. It was a stoppage time equalizer for the Battery that saw them draw 1-1 with the defending MLS Cup Champions.
