The Black & Gold earned its first point of the season, but the performance was the same.
The good news for Columbus Crew SC is it wasn't a 2-1 loss. The bad news, Saturday's game with the Chicago Fire from Toyota Park ended 0-0 as the Black & Gold earned its first point of the season.
After underwhelming in losses to the Portland Timbers and the Philadelphia Union to begin the year, the Black & Gold didn't come out like men on a mission. Over the first quarter hour, the Fire controlled proceedings and had six corner kicks before the game was 30 minutes old.
