While many eyes were on the competition between two Big Ten-bound giants, a Division I regional final was decided by speed.
Repeatedly beating Gahanna back downcourt in transition for high-percentage baskets, Westerville South advance to its second straight state final four with a 68-59 win Saturday night before a sellout crowd at Ohio Dominican.
The Wildcats put the exclamation mark on their victory when Jordan Humphrey grabbed a long rebound and dunked on the other end with 21.4 seconds left.
“That’s our game plan … rebound and beat them up floor,” said Humphrey, who scored 21 points.
