Andy Murray's Wimbledon career over post-Raducanu withdrawal

Andy Murray's Wimbledon career is officially over after his mixed doubles partner Emma Raducanu withdrew from the format owing to wrist soreness.

Murray was defeated in the men's doubles alongside his brother Jamie on Thursday, with that match proving to be his final at the Grand Slam in south west London.

Murray won two Wimbledon men's singles titles in 2013 and 2016, arguably the highlights of a glittering career.

"Unfortunately I woke up with some stiffness in my right wrist this morning, so therefore I have decided to make the very tough decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles tonight," Raducanu said.
