Last week, we were pretty upbeat about the Columbus Blue Jackets and they were starting to pull us back in. They had come off two-consecutive wins at the Carolina Hurricanes in overtime and shootout and we thought ‘here they come.’
After a week that saw them garner just one measly point and getting swept — thoroughly outplayed at the Detroit Red Wings — the good vibes are long gone. The Jackets have slipped to sixth in the Central Division and the Nashville Predators have roared back with five-straight victories to take the last playoff spot.
