Post Game: Missed chances doom Jackets in loss to Florida

For the second straight game, the Blue Jackets’ power play sputtered when it was needed most.

On Tuesday night, it was a failed five-minute man advantage in Montreal and they managed only two shots on goal. Tonight against the Florida Panthers, they had not one but two power play opportunities in the final six minutes of regulation – and they ended up losing the game.

Aleksander Barkov scored the game-winning goal in the fourth round of the shootout, giving the Panthers a 2-1 win and a 5-0 record on their road trip.

With regulation time ticking away, the Blue Jackets were handed a glorious chance to make a dent in the game and shrug their two-game skid.
