How this season, and moments before, have helped teach me about what’s really important in life.
My dad passed away in January of 2022. It was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, one of the darkest experiences of my life. I struggled for much of 2022 with grief and how to handle my stress, grief, and depression until finally, after urging and self-reflection and honest conversations with myself, I found a therapist. I recently crossed the one year mark in therapy and having someone I trust that I can talk to has helped me to better handle stressors, cope with grief and depressive episodes, and find a better balance in my mental health.
