Aaron Portzline of the Athletic: Forward is expected to be out the Blue Jackets lineup for the next four to six weeks with a fractured right foot.
Atkinson’s foot was broken on Saturday after he was hit by a Seth Jones slap shot. He will have surgery either today or tomorrow according to a source.
Brian Hedger: Forward Alexander Wennberg will be out for four to six weeks with a back injury. The Blue Jackets are expected to recall Tyler Motte, Jordan Schroeder and possibly one other player from the AHL.
