Jack Johnson to have shoulder surgery, will miss remainder of 2015-16 season

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his shoulder Thursday and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2015-16 season, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Larry Watson at Orthopedic One in Columbus.

Johnson, 29, has tallied six goals and eight assists for 14 points and 25 penalty minutes in 60 games this season. He leads the club in time on ice, averaging 24:10 per game, while leading all club defensemen in goals, power play goals (three) and game-winning goals (two).
