Tonight’s big headline was the return of Ryan Johansen. After morning skate today, Coach Tortorella spoke to the assembled season ticket holders regarding Johansen’s scratch in Arizona. The coach said that Johansen had been developing bad habits, and that he wanted to sit him to work on getting those habits corrected. Tortorella also said that the benching was not a punishment so much as it was a process with Johansen, and that Torts cannot just "let [Johansen] play through" the issues that he is having right now. Tortorella emphasized that he and Johansen have a great relationship and they do not intend to have any issues in the media like Torts has had with players in the past.
