They started the day off by recalling Jordan Schroeder (center) from the Cleveland Monsters for the purpose of placing him on waivers. He was in Cleveland on a conditioning loan.
During today’s practice, Lukas Sedlak stepped on a stick and received a high-ankle sprain. He will be on injured reserve for approximately six weeks.
This injury forced the Blue Jackets to recall Markus Hannikainen from the Monsters. As well as, move Zac Dalpe to a position he knows quite well, center.
If the Jackets hadn’t placed Schroeder on waivers, they might have been able to bring him up to fulfill the role of center.
