The Columbus Blue Jackets returned to the ice Friday night for the first game since their pantsing by the Detroit Red Wings on Monday as the Calgary Flames came to visit. Zach Werenski returned to the lineup after missing two games. To accommodate his roster spot, the Jackets waived Liam Foudy for the purposes of assigning him to Cleveland. The Jackets also activated Jordan Dumais and returned him to the QMJHL. Elvis Merzlikins was expected to start, but was scratched just before game time due to not feeling 100%. Spencer Martin got the start in net.
