The Cleveland Monsters headed into last night’s game looking for a much-needed win against the Toronto Marlies. They knew it was going to be a challenge from a defense standpoint due to Doyle Somerby’s suspension for an elbow to the head on Wednesday’s game. With not much to choose from, the Monsters had to go with young defender Justin Wade to replace Somerby. Pairing him with Gabriel Carlsson was a smart move as they communicated quite well and were able to break up many dangerous plays. Another addition to the lineup was Trey Fix-Wolansky who subbed in for Kole Sherwood on the third line.
