Could These Be the Worst NHL Moves of the Summer?

Looking at some free agent signings and a trade that have the early lead in potentially being the worst moves of this offseason.

A few days ago, the NHL Network looked back at the most cringe-worthy moves made during the league’s 2016 offseason.

There was Milan Lucic’s seven-year, $6 million AAV anchor that’s been pulling the Edmonton Oilers down toward the bottom ever since. Vancouver’s pact with Loui Eriksson (seven years, $6 million AAV), Boston’s with David Backes (five years, $6 million AAV), Buffalo’s with Kyle Okposo (seven years, $6 million) and the New York Islanders and Andrew Ladd (seven years, $5.
