Although there was no NHL action on Friday night, there was still hockey for Columbus Blue Jackets fans to watch. The Ohio State Buckeyes made their season debut Friday night in the desert against the Arizona State Sun Devils.
In the Buckeyes 3-2 win, Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Carson Meyer scored what would end up being the game winning goal and had the primary assist on the first goal of the season for OSU. It was a great start to the year for the Miami transfer who had a nightmare 2017-2018 season due to an undiagnosed tapeworm that ruined Meyer’s season.
