Earlier this year, USA Hockey lost a legend in Jim Johannson. The USA Hockey executive is credited for much of the success the national program has had over the last decade including producing three star Columbus Blue Jackets players.
Johannson passed away on January 21st at the age of 53.
The Stars and Stripes Showdown will be played in Mr. Johannson’s honor later this month and the lineup of players is impressive. The Columbus Blue Jackets will be represented by Zach Werenski, Seth Jones and Cam Atkinson at the fundraising event that features a friendly three-on-three tournament.
