Columbus Blue Jackets Draft Profile: Alexandre Texier

In a big move early on Saturday of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, the Columbus Blue Jackets showed they are always ready to make a deal. Jarmo didn’t shy away and shipped off a top prospect in Keegan Kolesar to acquire the 45th overall pick from the Vegas Golden Knights.

The second trade in three days with the NHL’s newest franchise was for a player the front office coveted. Jarmo in an interview following the pick said that if the Jackets had their 24th overall pick and he was availible there, the Jackets would have taken Texier.

High praise for a 17-year-old that has not play in a competitive league ever.
