It was a back and forth first period, with the Philadelphia Flyers taking an early lead thanks to a Claude Giroux snipe on an odd-man rush roughly six minutes into the first period. Seth Jones would tie it up on a weak goal allowed by Anthony Stolarz that shouldn’t have gone in, however the Blue Jackets wouldn’t complain.
